Chiasma Wellington nurtures science innovation, entrepreneurship and inter-disciplinary networking by hosting networking events throughout the year as we want our student members to become confident, industry-savvy scientists with a wealth of industry contacts.
Chiasma is New Zealand's premiere student-led organisation that fosters connections between science and business, connecting university students to high-tech industries. Started in 2004 by three PhD students at the University of Auckland to contribute to the growth of a knowledge-based economy, Chiasma now has over 3500 student and industry members, and spans three centres in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin.
