2017 is the year for our students to stand up and stand out. Chiasma is dedicated to helping them achieve above their goals and to help them explore the future options in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. We boast an extensive range of workshops, networking events, site visits as well as an accomplished mentorship programme. Our events are designed for everyone, whether they are involved in STEM or simply have an interest in this area. These events will give students valuable experience and skills that will make them stand out, and prepare them for the future.
Chiasma is New Zealand's premiere student-led organisation that fosters connections between science and business, connecting university students to high-tech industries. Started in 2004 by three PhD students at the University of Auckland to contribute to the growth of a knowledge-based economy, Chiasma now has over 3500 student and industry members, and spans three centres in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin.
