Welcome to Chiasma Dunedin's first event for the year!

Through our "Science Communication workshop" you will:

• Learn the importance of public engagement and communicating to a lay audience

• Develop your pitching skills and learn how to sell your ideas

• Make new friends, build connections, and practice new skills during our hands on exercises.

In addition, we are also lucky to have a guest speaker attending this event - Mr Steve Silvey. Steve initially did a honours degree in science before moving to business and completing an MBA here at Otago University. He is the director for Upstart Medical Technologies and Photonic Innovations LTD. Steve is also a venture capitalist at Powerhouse Ventures.
